Kelly Hogan DVM

Kelly Hogan DVM I am a 2009 graduate of the University of Missouri.I have a special interest in oncology (the diagnosis and treatment of cancer), dentistry and dermatology.

I am a member of:

  • American Veterinary Medical Association
  • Missouri Veterinary Medical Association
  • American Animal Hospital Association
  • Veterinary Cancer Society

My favorite part of veterinary medicine is working with clients to help improve and lengthen the relationship they have with their pets. Whether it’s cleaning up a stinky mouth so kisses are more enjoyable or administering chemotherapy to a cancer patient to help maintain a quality and quantity of life, it’s all about catering to the human-animal bond.

I have three dogs of my own: Emma Smudge, Greta Louise and Duckworth Alexander. All three of my dogs are from different rescue groups.

I fell in love with Greta's pleading eyes at the Humane Society in Maryland Heights.

Ducky

I found Ducky while browsing on Petfinder.com and couldn't wait to pick him up from Columbia Second Chance in Columbia, Missouri.

Emma Smudge

Emma Smudge was a tricky sell to my husband because he wasn't sure he wanted a dog that big but I found her as a 5 month old puppy from Great Dane Rescue of the Ozarks and we couldn't help but fall for that sweet face.

They each have their own, unique stories, pasts, and personalities and that’s what I love about them. Because of these different personalities, we all bond with our animals differently but we wouldn’t have them as our pets if we didn’t care for them.

In my spare time, I am a cook, home renovator and a pretty ok swing dancer with my husband at SCCC.
