The popular story you all have been following has taken a turn for the better. All the “stars” of the story have left The Pet Doctor. Momma Sasha and her puppy, now named Lucy, were both adopted. Raccoon is now with a wildlife rehab-er that is training him to be a wild raccoon. Check out the pictures below. You can watch the original news story as well.

What a happy ending to a wonderful story. It was so nice getting to know Sasha, lil’ pup and Chicken Nugget, and it’s so thrilling to see that everyone now has a home. Thanks so much, Pet Doctor, for warming my heart with this update.

UPDATE: Both Nuggets and Chatters are doing well. Nuggets is now 7 lbs and getting a lot of muscle on him, Chatters (the new girlfriend)is 5 lbs. We’ve been spending LOTS of time in the woods, been sleeping (haha) at night in our new outside home for about a week. As of yesterday our instincts have really started to kick in and in the daytime we sleep out in the woods in a couple of safe places we have close to home. I can’t help but check on them every 15 minutes or so. It makes my heart happy and sad at the same time because we all know this is the right way for them, but it also the beginning of a full release, though it will be a few more weeks at least until they’re fully on their own.
